Injunction – February 2021 hearing

Injunction defendants

The interim injunction by UK Oil and Gas against Persons Unknown and named people is the subject of a court hearing in early February 2021. Five defendants, under the Weald Action Group umbrella, are asking that the injunction be struck out.

We’re now asking for your support by attending the hearing remotely and by donating if you can .

You can find the full background to the injunction case on our Injunction page.

We’re asking our legal team, Stephanie Harrison QC, Stephen Simblet QC and Bhatt Murphy Solicitors,  to call for the injunction to be struck out. An interim injunction that’s allowed to linger on for nearly 3 years, all the while deterring peaceful and lawful protest, should not be able to continue in place.

Meanwhile  UKOG is trying to add dozens of people to the injunction – often without knowing their names or without adequate evidence against them.

We plan to keep fighting until the trial in 2022, even though UKOG has tried to get us removed from the case.

Please support us:

  • If you’d like to attend the court hearing remotely (date TBC) please let us know and we will ask the court to facilitate attendance from supporters
  • Donate towards our legal fees:  The Weald Action Group banks with Triodos – sort code 16-58-10 account number 21160260.  Please reference your donation: Injunction. Thank you. [Note: if you get a message saying something like “please ask for their account name as it may not be the same as their trading name” double check the details but press on (Triodos say it’s new banking regulations)].
