Say NO to further delay at Broadford Bridge

Join us to support local residents who are speaking out against UK Oil & Gas plc (UKOG)’s FOURTH attempt to delay restoring the well they drilled at Broadford Bridge.
UKOG stopped work on the site nearly six years ago. They now claim they want another two years to analyse findings from their wells at Horse Hill and Dunsfold.
This appears to be yet another attempt to delay spending the money needed to plug and restore the well at Broadford Bridge as required by their initial licence. Their last extension expires on March 31st.
The Weald Action Group and many others have urged West Sussex County Council not to let UKOG avoid their responsibilities again and risk the cost falling on the taxpayer or landowners.
The Planning Committee meets on Tuesday 19 March at County Hall, Chichester PO19 1RQ, starting at 10.30am.
We’ll be meeting outside County Hall from 9.40am to encourage the Committee to say NO! Bring placards and cleaning up costumes. Let’s make the Council know locals don’t want UKOG back.
